About Me
I am a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a writer and a teacher. I didn't know I was a writer until one day in my thirties when I decided to write a play and it was finished two days later. When a friend asked me how I did it, I said "All I did was write down what the people in my head were saying." All of the plays I wrote happened that way. Writing a novel is more complex and more solitary. There is no production team working to create the world my characters live in; no set designer, lighting designer, costume designer, sound designer . . . well, you get it.   I had to do all of that by finding the right words to mirror the sensorial experience of the world I was imagining in my mind. It is a miraculous occurrence when it all comes together - it's even better when other people appreciate the results.
